Records of the Central Club of Boston, incorporated in 1873. The club's purpose was to maintain a reading room and foster fellowship among its members. Records include: act of incorporation; constitution; signatures of members; minutes of quarterly, annual, and special meetings (1880-1890); minutes of executive committee meetings (1880-1890); and minutes of election committee meetings (1882-1890). The chief organizers of the club were Alexander H. Rice, Charles G. Greene, and Samuel D. Crane.
